Abstract
The virus of vesicular exanthema of swine (B type) has been pro-pagated through 16 serial passages in embryonic swine tissue, with the production of specific cytopathic changes. Evidence for multiplication of this virus in tissue culture was shown by: 1) production of vesicular exanthema in swine by tissue culture fluids from the 2, 8, and 16th passages, 2) specific complement fixation with tissue culture virus when mixed with type B but not type A antisera, 3) neutralization of the cytopathic effect in tissue culture in the presence of the homogous but not with the heterologous immune serum. Keywords
