Abstract
The Paschen-Back effect in the microwave spectra of N and O has been investigated in this experiment with a resonant cavity spectroscope. These molecules are known to possess relatively small values of nuclear electric quadrupole coupling and thus favor the realization of the Paschen-Back effect without prohibitively high magnetic fields.
