Abstract
SUMMARY: The effect of stilboestrol (250 μg on alternate days) on the serum proteins of rats was investigated during a period of 56 days. The total protein content showed no significant change until the 56th day, but there was a fall in the albumin fraction after the 36th day. The α1- and γ-globulins were significantly increased from the 16th day onwards, while the α2 and β fractions were reduced on the 16th and 26th day but rose again towards the end of the experimental period. Keywords
