Abstract
Coxlella burnetii, etiological agent of both acute and chronic Q-fever, is an obligate intracellular bacterial parasite. It is the only species of the genus Coxiella of the Rickettsiaceae family, and all strains so far studied belong to the same serotype (Bergey’s Manual, 1984).Keywords
