Structure of the Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix

Abstract
The measure of CP violation J in the Kobayashi-Maskawa (KM) model is estimated by expansion around |Vub|=0. We obtain that |J||Vus||Vcb||Vub| and the KM asymmetry parameter ω|Vus|2|Vcb|2. We discuss the implication of imposing this condition on the KM matrix elements, on the top-quark mass using the measurements of ɛK, Bd0B¯d0 mixing, |Vcb|, and |Vub||Vcb|. A comparison with the symmetric KM matrix is made.
