Abstract
ANTICOAGULANT treatment is winning for itself a firm place in the armamentarium against postoperative venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. This has been accomplished by the sheer weight of accumulating statistics from various clinics, both in this country and in Sweden.1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 Since April, 1941, when dicumarol first became available, the drug has provided the predominant method of therapy at the Lahey Clinic.
