Abstract
A change of the M1 transition probabilities is observed in the band crossing region in the positive-parity yrast band of 79Kr. This change is compared with that observed in the neighbouring nucleus 81Kr and is interpreted on the basis of a semiclassical coupling scheme of particle angular momenta. Keywords
