Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 13-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital because of an abdominal mass.She had been well until five months previously, when amenorrhea occurred after a single normal menstrual period. Two months later her facial acne, which had been mild for one year, became more severe, her voice became deeper, and a beard began to grow. She gained 9 kg in weight over a four-month period. During the two weeks before admission she experienced recurrent abdominal cramps, which increased in frequency and severity. Because of the acne she was seen by a dermatologist, who palpated a mass . . .
