Abstract
Stripe domains have been observed in NiFe films of various compositions evaporated at oblique incidence. The compositions ranged from 35% Ni to 92% Ni. The angles between the vapor source and the substrate normal were 0°, 30°, 60°, and 80°. Stripe domains were observed in all films evaporated at angles >30°. The domain width ranged from 600 to 9000 Å. Hysteresis loops were obtained in the plane and perpendicular to the plane of the films. Torque measurements were made to determine the rotatable anisotropy in the films. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
