Abstract
The School Desegregation Cases, collectively known as Brown v. Board of Education, have long been acknowledged as a landmark in constitutional law. The rhetorical significance of the decision, however, has received less recognition. This impact study provides support for the view that the rhetoric of Brown was and is paradigmatic of the rhetoric of social protest for the last twenty‐five years.Keywords
