Abstract
Within a two-dimensional molecular-dynamics model of superionics, the following effects were observed: (i) the silver subsystem tends to form a Wigner lattice, (ii) a pronounced collisionless motion takes place within an important frequency range, and (iii) the individual motions of the ions are strongly coupled to the collective modes of the system. Although we had to restrict ourselves to a two-dimensional model, the results for the main dynamical properties of the system agree well with various experimental data for -AgI.
