Abstract
From the literature to May 1949, 1651 reported cases treated with propylthio-uracil were reviewed. In this group, there were 62 toxic reactions which are tabulated. One patient, treated with propylthiouracil for toxic nodular goiter and who died from fatal agranulocytosis, is recorded. Suggestions are made that may help to prevent this disaster from recurring in other patients. Keywords
