Abstract
The prostaglandins, as a newly discovered family of biologically active lipids, are reviewed under the headings discovery, structure elucidation, enzymatic bioconversion, occurrence and distribution, metabolism, and biological activities. Current developments involving the prostaglandins in cardiovascular-renal research are reviewed in some detail. Key references to prostaglandin literature are supplied. Keywords
