Abstract
The genus is emended to include P. orbiculare, isolated from tinea versicolor scales and from normal skin. The new sp. requires addition of fatty substances for isolation and continued growth on ordinary agar media at 37oC. Various vegetable oils and 12-18-C saturated fatty acids are suitable, but no growth occurs with unsaturated 18-C acids. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
