Abstract
Using a velocity-independent analysis of zero-field quantum beats in time-resolved decays of the terms of II, we have obtained measurements of (a) the fine-structure separations to and to , (b) the hyperfine contact terms, and (c) the dipole terms of the hyperfine interaction. Our accuracy is a few parts in for some of the constants. In some cases, the fine-structure constants are in significant disagreement with the calculations of Accad, Pekeris, and Schiff. The hyperfine constants for the term are close to recent many-body calculations.
