Abstract
Various intermediate products such as ascorbic acid, methyl-glyoxal, alloxan, cystein and thiolacetic acid in combination with ferrous iron, activate arginase. The activation mechanism of this enzyme is probably connected with a specific oxidation reduction potential, and is not due simply to a specific effect of the SH-group.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
