Abstract
Polarized photomodulated reflectivity experiments were performed on a series of GaAs/AlAs quantum-wire superlattices. The spectra show clear evidence of anisotropy in the -related optical transitions, becoming more pronounced as the superlattices’ period decreases. A similar anisotropic behavior is also present in the and + critical-point transitions. These anisotropies are attributed to the corrugated nature of the samples.
