Abstract
Summary.: A gastric secretory principle is isolated from the pyloric mucosa of pigs by isoelectrical precipitation. The secretory excitant stimulates the HCl‐glands but not the pepsin glands of the gastric mucosa. The possibility of the existence of an agent which stimulates the pepsin cells, and another which inhibits gastric secretion, is discussed. Keywords
