Abstract
Angular distributions for the (, ) neutron-transfer reaction to form the lowest two states in have been measured for laboratory energies of 5.5 and 6.5 MeV. Elastic scattering cross sections for on were measured at laboratory energies of 4.0 and 6.0 MeV in order to determine optical potentials for the theoretical analysis of the transfer cross section. Distorted-wave-Born-approximation calculations were found to be in reasonable agreement with the data while Hauser-Feshbach calculations were not. This indicates that the reaction is primarily a direct process.
