Abstract
A case of severe subcutaneous and mediastinal emphysema complicated by pneumothorax following transcricothyroid bronchography is reported. Exploration of the cricothyroid membrane revealed an opening unlikely to be solely responsible for the amount of subcutaneous emphysema observed. The possibility, of an associated drug reaction with laryngeal edema is entertained as a complicating factor. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
