Abstract

We have obtained upper limits for the decays

K_{L}^{0} \to μ e

and

K_{L}^{0} \to ee

. The limits on the branching ratios are

B (K_{L}^{0} \to μ e) < 1.1 \times 10^{- 8}

and

B (K_{L}^{0} \to e e) < 1.1 \times 10^{- 8}

(90% C.L.). In a simultaneous search for the previously observed decay

K_{L}^{0} \to μ μ

, we have identified two events.
