Abstract
"The purpose of this review is to summarize the available information concerning the morphology of the respiratory center and the properties of its constituent neurons, to develop an adequate concept of its functional organization, and to point out some of the obvious avenues of exptl. approach which might lead to a sounder understanding of the central mechanisms of breathing.".Keywords
