Abstract
Raman scattering from acoustic phonons in Si- Fibonacci superlattices is reported. The main features of the experimental results are determined by the Fourier components of the dependence on position along the growth direction of the photoelastic coefficient. An analytic expression for the Fourier transform of any function of position in a Fibonacci lattice is used to interpret the experimental results.
