Evaluating the Use of Technology in Reporting SCII Results to Students

Abstract
Because accurate reporting of test results is essential to the counseling process, it is important that information on test results be understandable, precise, and meaningful. This study compared the effectiveness of four methods of test reporting (slide/sound-only, counselor-only, combination of the two, and control) of the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory. Results revealed all groups receiving tests that report methods were more accurate in recall of test information and had higher student satisfaction than the control group. The results supported the use of an audiovisual device as an effective approach for disseminating and reporting test information.
