Abstract
The hypothesis that induced hista-mine is the intrinsic regulator of the autonomic changes of the micro -circulation is reviewed; it is noted that when formed in excess, hista-mine can cause pain in such iolated regions as the head and neck. Vertigo and tinnitus are closely akin to headache and should be considered simultaneously. Beta-Histine dihydrochloride, a new therapeutic agent and the first substitute for histamine that is orally effective is described. It proved to be effective in the treatment of vertigo.
