Dephasing of the de Haas-van Alphen effect by impurities

Abstract
Expressions for the de Haas-van Alphen amplitude reduction produced by the strain field of a random distribution of impurities are obtained, the principal purpose being to find out whether dephasing is likely to practice to reduce the amplitude comparably with scattering of electrons by the impurities.Keywords
