Abstract
Comparative studies of peripheral blood and bone marrow have shown that the postoperative marked and sustained reduction of blood platelets is accompanied by a block in the mechanism of delivery of platelets into the blood stream and a delay in maturation of blast cells of the megakaryocyte lineage.Keywords
