Abstract
Using a simple model for the quasiparticle damping, we show how the fine structure observed in the dynamic form factor of an electron liquid can be understood on purely kinematic considerations. We also show that more realistic calculations of the self-energy including vertex corrections leave the qualitative features of the model unchanged. Results for the mass enhancement as a function of wave number are given. Keywords
