Large-pT π0production in hadronic reactions in terms of the parton model

We show that the parton model adequately describes ${\pi }^0$ production for Fermilab $pp$ reactions. In addition, we point out that the model directly predicts ${\pi }^0$ production in $\overline{p}p$ reactions providing extensive tests for experimental verification. We remark that, withstanding these tests, the model may be used to extract $\pi$,$K$ inelastic form factors from ${\pi }^0$ production data for $\pi p$,$\mathrm{Kp}$ reactions.
