Abstract
Italian national and regional mean diets were outlined from household surveys. Four mean diet samples, namely national, southern, north-eastern and north-western, were prepared, and eight PAH were determined by GC-MS using isotopically labelled internal standards. Results are given in terms of mean daily intake: benzo[a]pyrene intake is 0.17, 0.32, 0.19, 0.16 μg/day respectively for the four samples. The representativity of the analyzed samples is discussed. Keywords
