Abstract
Nonirrigated “Starr” peanuts, 28–58 days postplanting, were infested with small larvae of Elasmopalpus lignosellus (Zeller) to ascertain the relationship between larval density and yield. The yield from thirty-nine 0.002-ha plots with larval densities ranging from 3069–73,655/ha were plotted and described by a simple 3-parameter nonlinear function. Results show non irrigated Starr peanuts can tolerate larval densities from 9 to 14,448/ha without yield reductions.This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
