Abstract
We have described a case of septic thrombophlebitis of the internal jugular vein after an anaerobic pharyngeal infection. This and other septic thrombophlebitides are a part of Lemierre''s postanginal septicemia. Early diagnosis and appropriate antimicrobial therapy are important to avoid sequelae. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
