Abstract
There has been developed a generator for the production of heavy surge currents in excess of 100,000 amperes and of effective durations greater than 100, usec. Methods of measuring these currents by the cathode ray oscillograph with good engineering accuracy also have been developed. Some features of lightning phenomena may now be investigated which were not possible of study with the high-surge-voltage generator. Keywords
