Abstract
DEEP VEIN thrombosis (DVT) is a common disease that occurs in most medical disciplines. The estimated yearly incidence of symptomatic DVT of the lower extremities is 0.5 to 1.6 per 1000 urban inhabitants.1-3 This is probably an underestimation of the true incidence, as many venous thromboembolic events (VTEs) are asymptomatic.Keywords
