Abstract
Low-temperature time-resolved luminescence measurements on single crystals of Cs2UO2Cl4 doped with small concentrations of U18O2 2+ and U18O16O2+ permit the measurement of nearest neighbour non-resonant electronic energy transfer rates. The rates are consistent with a direct phonon emission process and electric quadrupole-quadrupole coupling. Keywords
