Abstract
The whole automation of the driving of terrestrial vehicles requires to know at any time with the highest accuracy the values of the instantaneous speed and the distance covered by the vehicle ; moreover, it is also necessary to know the sign of the speed-vector. Each of these parameters is obtained from the microwave Doppler cinemometer described hereafter. The microwave part of the cinemometer including an X band oscillator, a phase-shifter, power-dividers, circulators, mixers and detectors is a M.I.C. and should be changed in a GaAs built-on M.M.I.C..Keywords
