Abstract
External frontoethmoidectomy with sinus obliteration using ceramic hydroxyapatite granules was applied to prevent the postoperative complications in 12 patients with frontal mucocele. Eleven patients were satisfactorily treated by this method, although minor complications such as slight diplopia and retraction of the frontal region were present in one case. One patient had small cyst persistence in the orbit and was treated again. There have been no recurrences to date in any of the patients during follow-up periods of 22 to 53 months. Keywords
