Abstract
Absorption maxima and minima of 67 steroids, after treatment with "100%"phosphoric acid, are tabulated together with their optical densities. Some correlations between the structure and the spectra of steroids are demonstrated with the aid of simple model compounds. An example of the application of the technique to the characterization of steroids from natural sources is quoted. Keywords
