Abstract
A popular type of portable rod-and-frame (Model PR-20) test was administered to 7-, 8-, 9- and 10-yr.-old subjects and re-administered 3 yr. and 3 mo. later. Internal consistency and stability were reported for each age level and sex separately. Internal consistency ranged from .53 to .99. Stability ranged from .26 to .90. There was a tendency for boys to be more field-independent than girls and for older subjects to be more field-independent than younger ones. Keywords
