Abstract
The authors review the concept of coherent states and extend the concept to a basis which transforms irreducibly under isotopic spin rotations. The construction is explicitly given for one-mode wavefunctions. The construction of a similar basis for fields can in principle be done by making use of the results in the present paper. Keywords
