Abstract
Data were accumulated from 1953 to 1962. Fourfold or greater increases in antibody titer to influenza virus occurred in 12.2% of 1,454 students admitted to the infirmary. Of 1,106 students with respiratory symptoms, influenza antibody rises occurred in 15.5%. The most common clinical syndrome associated with proved influenza was acute upper respiratory infection; relatively few infections of the lower respiratory tract were due to influenza. The experience of university student with Asian influenzal outbreaks is described. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
