Abstract
We study the mass spectrum and radiative decays of the light pseudoscalar and vector mesons in a nonrelativistic quark model. The quark content of the ground state and first two radially excited states is discussed as well as possible mixing with a glueball state in the isoscalar sector. The radiative decays of the first radially excited states are predicted and would appear to give tests for the existence of gluonium. Keywords
