Abstract

The branching ratio of

ϒ (3 S) \to π^{+} π^{-} ϒ (1 S)

has been measured to be (4.9 ± 0.9 ± 0.5)%. The di-pion invariant-mass distribution for this decay is flatter than that for the decays

ϒ (2 S) \to π^{+} π^{-} ϒ (1 S)

and

ψ^{'} \to π^{+} π^{-} ψ

.
