Abstract
Since peptic ulcer disease is a multifactorial disease, the ideal therapeutic approach would be to use different drugs for different ulcers. In the past few years some studies have been published suggesting that subgroups of patients with peptic ulcer might particularly benefit from specific forms of therapy. In the present report the available evidence has been critically reviewed. Keywords
