Abstract
A variety of surface pretreatments for electroplating aluminium alloys are reviewed, with a summary of the immersion types, particularly the zincate procedure and the various modifications presently employed commercially. Some interesting specific commercial applications of electroplating on aluminium alloys in U S A are discussed which illustrate the versatility of the zincate process in respect to alloys, alloy combinations, size, contour and electroplating processes. Keywords
