Abstract
We report a case of polypoid spindle cell squamous carcinoma (pseudosarcoma) occurring in the anal canal. Electron microscopic findings and the demonstration of keratin by an immunoperoxidase method, gave clear cut evidence of the epithelial nature of the saicomatoid cells forming this tumour. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case in the literature. Keywords
