Abstract
It is said that amphetamine induces stereotypy and locomotion in rats; however, the present paper shows amphetamine-induced stereotyped locomotion by analyzing the route of locomotion in an open field. Details of the analysis are given, normal as well as stereotypic features are discerned, and the results are discussed in relation to contemporary views on locomotion and exploration and on the mechanisms of amphetamine effect. Keywords
