Abstract
Rapid adaptation occurs in adult rats exposed to anoxia at low temps. This enables the animals to tolerate extreme anoxia (an O2 pressure of 32 mm. Hg.) at various temps. (14 -31 C) for a period more than 40 times longer than the unadapted controls. Keywords
