Abstract
Genotypic analysis of herpes simplex virus (HSV) DNA extracted from clinical specimens from a case of fatal disseminated neonatal HSV demonstrated that an infant developed an acyclovir-resistant HSV containing a mutation in the HSV thymidine kinase gene during the first seven days of acyclovir therapy.Keywords
