Abstract
A theoretical estimate of the second frequency moment of the collision Rayleigh spectrum is presented. The results are compared with a series of molecular dynamics simulations and with the slopes of the spectra observed in real experiments. The density dependence turns out to be in fair agreement with both the experimental findings. Keywords
